O governador Eduardo Leite (PSDB) recebe neste domingo (5) o presidente Lula (PT) a quem deve cobrar um plano de reconstrução integrado e robusto, para recuperar o estado do Rio Grande do Sul do que classificou como uma ‘devastação sem precedentes’, na maior catástrofe climática que já atinge mais de 707 mil gaúchos.
No cenário da tragédia, o chefe do governo gaúcho reúne-se com Lula, ministros e os presidentes do Congresso Nacional, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), da Câmara dos Deputados, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), e do Tribunal de Contas da União (TCU), Bruno Dantas. E chegou a reivindicar a execução de uma espécie de “Plano Marshall”, diante do cenário de guerra causado pela cheia histórica, que matou 66 pessoas, nos temporais da última semana.
“Repito e insisto: a devastação a que estamos sendo submetidos não tem precedentes. É momento de somarmos forças em prol do nosso Estado”, disse Eduardo Leite, na manhã desde domingo, antes de encontrar Lula.
No sábado (4), Leite disse viver um momento para deixar de lado diferenças políticas, em referência à rivalidade histórica entre seu partido PSDB e o PT de Lula. “Os próximos dias e semanas ainda serão muito difíceis, mas trabalharemos incansavelmente para dar as respostas que os gaúchos e gaúchas merecem. Seguimos mobilizados para salvar vidas. […] Quem já foi vítima da tragédia não pode ser vítima da desassistência”, declarou o governador gaúcho.
Já são 332 cidades afetadas pelas enchentes que deixaram até a capital Porto Alegre com seu Centro Histórico inundado pelas águas do Guaíba, que atingiu um nível histórico de 5,33 metros, jamais alcançado desde o recorde de 4,76 metros, registrado em 1941.
O governador gaúcho divulgou o canal oficial de doações, via pix, para a conta SOS Rio Grande do Sul. A chave pix é o CNPJ 92.958.800/0001-38, mesma utilizada nas enchentes de setembro do ano passado, vinculada à conta bancária aberta pelo Banrisul. O governo garante que os recursos serão integralmente revertidos para o apoio humanitário a vítimas das enchentes e para a reconstrução da infraestrutura dos municípios.
